esde Maschinentechnik has developed and built together with Kunststofftechnik Paderborn (KTP) of Paderborn University a new extruder with remarkable features.
The plasticizing capacity of the High-Speed Extruder is considerably above the usual scale of a „normal“ extruder with 40 mm screw diameter. Depending on the raw material and the regrind contents in the granules up to 700 kg/h will be neatly plasticized whereby the melt temperatures are maintained within the usual range.
This was made possible by the high process-engineering expertise of the scientific staff members at KTP and the many years of experience of esde Maschinentechnik in design and construction of directly driven single screw extruders. The team of developers was supported by a ZIM cooperation project (Central Innovation Program for medium sized Businesses) of the BMWi (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy).
First feedbacks received from our customers confirm the remarkable energy-saving potential of this machine design compared to conventional structured extruders.
At our technical center a machine is available for customer trials.
